North American Power is a multi-state supplier

North American Power serves customers in multiple retail choice markets and also has a Texas electricity page. Its FAQ lists Texas REP certificate 10207 alongside licenses in other states.

That multi-state footprint can be useful for brand context, but Texas customers still need to focus on the plan shown for their service address. Each state has different rules and documents.

Texas plans are positioned around fixed rates

North American Power's Texas page says it provides residents with fixed-rate electricity plans. A fixed-rate plan can make the energy charge easier to compare during the contract term.

The fixed part is not the whole bill. TDSP delivery charges, taxes, base charges, and some pass-through items can still affect the monthly total.

Referral offers should be secondary

The Texas page mentions a Visa gift card opportunity through a refer-a-friend program. That kind of offer can be a nice extra, but it should not decide the electricity plan by itself.

Check the referral terms, timing, and qualification rules. Then compare the plan without the incentive to see whether the underlying rate still works.

Switching does not change the utility

North American Power explains that switching suppliers does not interrupt service and does not change the local utility's delivery role. That is how Texas retail choice works: the REP bills for supply while the TDSP maintains the wires and handles outages.

For outage reporting, use the utility. For billing, plan terms, renewal, and payment issues, use the retail provider.
