Revolution adds green options to familiar plan types

Revolution Energy presents itself as a Texas provider for both homes and businesses, with green versions of its plans. That means a customer may see familiar fixed-rate or free-time structures with REC-backed renewable positioning added on top.

The green label should be checked in the EFL and contract terms. Renewable content, REC treatment, price, and term length all matter.

Free nights and weekends need a load-shift test

Revolution promotes free-time style products, including free nights or weekends language. These plans are not automatically cheaper. They depend on when the household uses electricity.

A home that can move laundry, EV charging, pool pumps, or heavy cooling into the free window may get more value than a home with most usage during paid hours.

Solar buyback is a separate decision

Revolution also references a solar buyback program. Solar customers should not compare that program only by the word buyback.

The useful details are import price, export credit value, rollover rules, term length, minimum usage, and any eligibility restrictions. Ask for the buyback terms before assuming the plan fits your system.

Where Revolution may fit

Revolution may fit customers who want green-plan options without giving up common plan structures such as fixed or free-time offers. It may also fit solar customers if the buyback terms are competitive for their system.

It may not fit customers who want the simplest low-rate fixed plan and do not care about renewable content, solar crediting, or free-time usage strategy.
