SFE Energy operates in more than one market, but a Texas customer should focus on the Texas REP record and Texas plan documents. The Texas page is the relevant source for local electricity service.

Residential and commercial offers have different risks

SFE presents both residential and commercial electricity programs in Texas. A residential customer should compare EFLs, term length, average price, base charges, and early termination rules.

A commercial customer should ask for pass-through charge language, contract length, renewal rules, and whether the quoted price is fixed for all energy components or only part of the bill.

Price certainty still needs a document check

SFE's Texas page uses price-certainty language. That can be valuable, but customers should verify which charges are actually fixed.

Regulated TDSP delivery charges, taxes, and certain contract-defined pass-throughs can still change the total bill even when the energy charge is fixed.

Use Texas-specific customer-rights documents

Texas electricity customers should rely on the Texas Terms of Service, Your Rights as a Customer disclosure, and EFL. Documents from another state or province will not answer the right regulatory questions.

If a sales representative discusses a plan by phone or door-to-door, ask for the Texas documents before agreeing to service.

SFE may fit customers who want a fixed-price supplier with both residential and commercial paths and do not mind working with a company that has a broader North American footprint.

It may not fit customers who want a Texas-only provider brand, app-heavy account tools, or a simple public plan shelf with minimal sales interaction.

Before choosing SFE

Save the Texas EFL, Terms of Service, Your Rights as a Customer disclosure, and any sales confirmation. Check the provider legal name and certificate number on the documents.

Then compare the all-in average price against other active Texas plans for your address. Price certainty is useful only if the full contract is clear.
