APG&E

About APG&E

APG&E (AP Gas and Electric), previously known as Affordable Power was founded by small business owners in Houston in 2004. They entered the Texas market the same year providing services to homeowners and small businesses before expanding nationally and offering their services throughout the US. APG&E is a privately held company so it allows them to focus on long-term goals and develop deep customer relationships rather than just hitting financial analyst goals or using unethical tactics to deliver quarterly or annual financial results.

Because of this freedom, APG&E has the ability to listen to their customers and use their industry experience to create products and energy plans that are tailored to the requirements of their clients. Many other Retail Energy providers choose to offer complex plans and think that it is to their advantage, however, APG&E’s Philosophy is that keeping it simple is better. They focus on their relationship with their clients and treat them as extended family.

APG&E offers simple, easy-to-understand, and transparent energy plans that you will be happy to recommend to your own family and friends. They efficiently navigate the constant changes and fluctuations in the market due to their experience and relatively small size.

Over the years they have grown to serve many customers Nationwide, and are currently operating in the following energy markets: Texas, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, and Illinois

Electricity Plans That APG&E Offers

APG&E specializes in fixed-rate electricity plans. This means that once locked in, the base price per kilowatt of your plan will not change for the duration of your contract. This is especially useful for customers who want peace of mind, knowing that your energy charge’s price will remain stable and will not change. When choosing a plan with APG&E you can also choose to be friendly with the environment and go with a 100% green plan.

Report a APG&E Outage

If you have a power outage with APG&E you will need to contact the utility company directly (also known as TDU - transmission and delivery utility). This is a different company than APG&E. Your utility company is determined by your service address, and there are 5 of these TDUs in Texas:

Please remember, if you have a power outage, you should not contact APG&E about it, but rather your TDU company
