Rhythm Electricity Plans

Rhythm prides itself on being sustainably driven, so all of their plans are 100% renewable energy. They offer great competitive rates all year round to new client and renewing clients, and promise to always be transparent and not cram hidden fees.

Residential customers in Texas can sign up to one of the following Rhythm energy plans:

Fixed Long-Term Plans:

  1. Simply Digital – 12 month
  2. Simply Secure – 24 month – SimplySafe Home Security Included
  3. Two Months Free – 24 month – Get 2 months of Free Energy
  4. Simply Digital – 36 month

These long-term plans all offer a low competitive fixed price. All of the Rhythm plans are 100% affordable and 100% renewable energy.

Whether you are a new or renewing customer you can count on Rhythm to treat you the same way and offer you the same great deals. Also, even if you sign up for a long term plan, Rhythm offers a 30-day test period where you can sign up for a service and cancel for any reason within 30 days penalty-free.

Fixed Short-Term Plans:

  1. Simply Digital – 3 month
  2. Simply Digital – 6 month

Short-term energy plans from Rhythm can be a good option for customers who need coverage for a specific period of time, such as the summer months, or for those who expect energy prices to decrease in the near future.

However, it’s important to keep in mind that when your contract ends, your energy price will be based on the current market rate. To ensure that you are getting the best rate possible, you may want to consider locking in a lower rate before your current plan expires.

Texas Solar Buyback Plan

The solar buyback plan allows homeowners to earn money from the excess energy produced by their solar panels. When your solar system generates more power than you use, you can receive credits on your energy bill as compensation for the excess electricity. This can be a convenient way to offset the costs of your solar system and potentially save money on your energy bills.

If you live in Texas and have a residential solar system with a capacity of less than 20 kW, you may be eligible for a solar buyback plan.

At this point it’s hard to deny that renewable energy is the way of the future. Here are the basic terms of the Solar Buyback Plan:

  • Unlimited rollover of credit
  • 100% renewable electricity for the duration of your contract
  • A monthly base charge of $8.95
  • Solar buyback credits for excess generation at a rate that is separate from your energy rate

Is Rhythm a good company?

While Rhythm is a newcomer in the Texas energy market, they have outstanding ratings and affordable rates. With a 4.7 star average rating on Google and less-than-average complaints filed on the PUCT Customer Complaint Statistics website, Rhythm Energy is a great choice to consider when shopping for a new energy plan.

We suggest that you take a quick look at today’s rates and compare them to other offers on the market before making a decision.

Rhythm Contract Length

Rhythm offers a range of contract terms for their energy plans, including options that range from 3 months to 36 months. Having this variety of contract lengths can be beneficial for customers in several ways.

One advantage is that it allows customers to choose a plan that fits their specific needs and budget. For example, a short-term plan may be a good fit for someone who only needs energy for a temporary period or who expects their energy needs to change soon. On the other hand, a long-term plan with a longer commitment may be more suitable for someone who wants the stability of a fixed rate or has higher, long-term energy needs.

Having a range of contract lengths can also provide customers with flexibility. For instance, someone on a short-term plan may be able to switch to a different plan with a different term length if their energy needs change. However, if someone on a long-term plan experiences significant changes in their energy needs, they may be able to negotiate a new plan with their provider, but they may incur additional fees for doing so.

In summary, having a variety of contract length options can help customers find a plan that best meets their needs and preferences, while also providing them with the flexibility to make changes as their energy needs evolve.

How long does it take for service to start?

In Texas, most homes already have smart meters installed. If your home is equipped with a smart meter, you can expect your service to start either the same day or the next business day after signing up. Please note that new service cannot typically begin on weekends or federal holidays.

When you enroll in a new energy service, you will have the option to start service as soon as possible or choose a future date to begin. However, there may be a delay in starting service if the meter cannot be turned on remotely or if your city requires a permit for the service to be activated. Keep this in mind when selecting your start date for service.

Rhythm Service Areas

If you live in a deregulated area of Texas, you are in luck because Rhythm can provide energy services for your home. Rhythm services the following utilities and service areas:

You can check to see if Rhythm services your area by looking for your utility in the list above.

Rhythm Cancellation Fees

One of the unique features offered by Rhythm is a 30-day test period for their energy plans. This means that after you enroll, you can try out your plan for 30 days and see if it is a good fit for you. If you decide that you do not like your plan, you can simply cancel it within 30 days without incurring any penalties or fees.

After the 30-day test period, standard cancellation fees may apply, depending on the specific terms of your plan. These fees are subject to change from time to time, but they will not change after you sign up for service. You can find information about the applicable cancellation fees in the EFL document for your plan.

In addition, if you are moving to a new address while you are still under contract, you have the option to transfer your service to the new location or cancel it without paying a fee. You have the flexibility to choose whether you want to transfer your current plan or explore different options from other providers.

Rhythm FAQs

  • How does Rhythm help me save money?

At Rhythm Energy, technology plays a central role in the company's operations. The company uses data to make smart, cost-effective decisions about energy usage, helping to reduce costs for customers. When a customer signs up for one of Rhythm's electric plans, they receive personalized information about their energy usage, including weekly summaries and usage reports. This allows the customer to understand their energy habits and identify ways to reduce costs.

  • What extra fees does Rhythm charge?

Rhythm Energy charges the following fees: late fees if a customer's payment is past due, an insufficient funds fee if there are insufficient funds in the customer's account to pay their bill, a cancellation fee if the customer leaves the company after their first 30 days but before their contract is up, and a disconnection for non-payment transaction fee if Rhythm Energy orders a disconnection for non-payment because amounts due to the company remain unpaid for ten days after a disconnect notice is sent to the customer.

  • What rewards does Rhythm offer?

Rhythm Rewards is the company's way of thanking its customers. Customers can earn rewards points for completing certain actions, such as signing up for eBill or setting up Auto Pay.
