Direct Energy Residential Electricity Plans

The EFL is a document provided by the energy provider that contains important information such as the average price per kilowatt-hour (kWh), usage credits, and contract length. Twelve Hour Power 24 On Us
Direct Energy’s most sought-after plan is the “Twelve Hour Power” plan. This plan offers a 24-month fixed-rate, two years of free Amazon Prime, free electricity from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. and it also includes 100% renewable energy. Should you choose to cancel your contract early without moving, a $295 Early Termination Fee (ETF) will apply.
Live Brighter 24 On Us
The Live Brighter 24 On Us plan is a 24-month fixed-rate energy plan that offers 100% renewable energy and two years of free Amazon Prime. It also includes a $295 Early Termination Fee (ETF), unless the customer is moving and cancels the contract. This plan is designed for customers who are looking for a long-term commitment and want to use renewable energy and enjoy the benefits of Amazon Prime.
Live Brighter 12 Autopay
The Live Brighter 12 plan is a 12-month fixed-rate energy plan that provides customers with stability and predictability by locking in their energy rate for one year. This plan protects customers from market fluctuations and allows them to budget their energy expenses. Customers can also secure lower rates by setting up autopay. The plan comes with a $150 Early Termination Fee (ETF) if the customer cancels the contract before the end of the term.
Bright Choice
Direct Energy also offers a variable-rate plan that allows customers to change plans or cancel their service at any time without penalty. Direct Energy FAQ
How long does it take to start service?
Service can typically start either on the same day or the next business day after you sign up for it.
Do you have cancellation fees?
Cancellation fees can differ depending on the plan and how long you've been enrolled.
To find out if any early termination fees apply, check your EFL (Electricity Facts Label) document.
But don't worry, if you're moving to a new home, the cancellation fees will be waived.
Does Direct Energy charge a cancellation fee?
If you decide to cancel a fixed-rate plan from Direct Energy before the end of the contract, you will be charged an ETF (early termination fee).
However, if you're moving out of Direct Energy's service area, the fee will be waived for you.
Do you offer green energy plans?
In Texas, all energy plans include a portion of green energy sourced from solar or wind power. Direct Energy goes even further by offering several plans that feature 100% green energy, giving customers the peace of mind that they're doing their part to reduce their carbon footprint.
